Assessment of Immunomodulatory Effect on Natural Antioxidants – An In Vitro Study

BACKGROUND Garlic has anti allergic, anti-tumour and chemo preventive effect. Turmeric analgesic, anti-inflammatory, wound healing, immunomodulatory activities. Spirulina antioxidant, immunomodulatory, anticancer, antiviral, antibacterial effects. Honey antimicrobial, antiinflammatory. The purpose of this study was to prepare herbal formulations garlic, turmeric, honey, spirulina analyse its METHODS Garlic, were combined with 100 ml distilled water simmered for 15 minutes before being filtered condensed again 5 ml. diphenyl 1-picryl-hydrazyl-hydrate test (DPPH), ferric reducing antioxidant power assay (FRAP) H2O2 assays used evaluate the RESULTS prepared extract showed significant results at 50 l when assessed using DPPH, FRAP (i.e.) 72.1 %, 94.6 % 67.9 respectively. CONCLUSIONS This in-vitro shows that combination honey formulation have good effects compared standard. Hence, in future, it can be as a safe alternative instead commercially available medicines form in-situ gel management immune mediated disorders.
